Master Daniel Jung is from South Korea and has been teaching Taekwondo for the past 30 years. He holds a 7th degree black belt from the World Taekwondo Federation and an 8th degree black belt from the Universal Martial Arts Federation.
In Korea, he was a Special Guerrilla Military Trainer to all officers below the rank of General in the Navy Academy, Army and Marine Corps.
Master Jung came to America from South Korea and opened his school, Alpha Taekwondo, in Chelmsford, MA. He has also assisted setting up schools locally in Dracut and Medford and internationally in Iceland and Panama. He has taught after school Taekwondo programs in all of Chelmsford's elementry and middle schools and at Rundlett Middle School in Concord, NH. He coached Massachusetts state gold medalists from 1993 - 1997 while coaching the Massachusettes state Taekwondo team. He taught Taekwondo at New Hampshire Technical Institute in Concord, NH and also taught a beginner class through the Concord Recreation Department.
Master Jung was the New Hampshire President of the USA Taekwondo Martial Arts Commission, an organization associated with the KUKKIWON Taekwondo headquarters in South Korea. Master Jung is also the New Hampshire President of the Korean American Taekwondo Association.
Master Jung has extensive fundraising and community service experience. He has held numerous fundraising events for Muscular Dystrophy, Easter Seals, and Lutheran Services raising thousands of dollars. He has also received many certificates of recognition for service to the community and youth.
Master Jung has extensive teaching experience with students of all ages and cultures. He taught thousands of students on five continents. The numbers are too large, but Master Jung estimates over a thousand of those students have earned at least 1st Dan (1st degree black belt). Master Jung is skilled at motivating others to achieving their best.
Kurt has more than 20 years of martial arts experience and currently holds a 3rd degree black belt from the World Taekwondo Federation and a 1st degree blackbelt in ITF Taekwondo.
Beginning his Taekwondo journey at 14 years old, Kurt studied ITF Taekwondo at National Karate Institute in Summerville, SC. While in college he joined a club to learn Suenaka-Ha Aikido, then moved to New Hampshire after graduation.
He would go on to join NH Kicks Taekwondo in 2015. Starting from white belt again, he worked diligently and would assist Master Jung as a student teacher until he officially joined as an instructor in 2026.
Kurt also spent 12 years as an Olympic recurve archer and 5 years as a USA Archery certified coach.
Tom took his first self-defense class in High School in 1975 and was soon introduced to Taekwondo and Judo training before and after his enlistment in the United States Marine Corp.
Through the years Tom studied a variety of Martial Art styles, focusing eventually on Taekwondo with the New England Taekwondo Karate Club due to Taekwondo’s emphasis on health, fitness and self-defense training.
Tom joined NH Kicks Taekwondo in 2020 starting over from White Belt, training up through the ranks of the various belt levels obtaining his first level of Black Belt at NH Kicks Taekwondo in 2021. Tom now holds the level of Third Degree Blackbelt eventually obtaining the level of Sa Bum Nim, Instructor-Master.
Tom continues to train and teach while maintaining a busy schedule as a father, grandfather and business entrepreneur with oversight of numerous companies he owns in various industries.
Taekwondo has always contributed to success in business since Taekwondo promotes emphasis on self-discipline, commitment and integrity at all levels of training and practice.
